Fall in the Alpine Tundra.
As fall fades here in Alaska and Winter is knocking down her door, I find myself in deep reflection in the early morning light.
I remember reading about the Tundra in school as it was described as cold, void of life. As you can see, the textbooks had it all wrong. Those deep reds and vibrant oranges are mosses and lichen putting on a show after feeding the wildlife all summer long. Seeing this makes me wonder what else was I taught that was, in fact, incorrect?
This was the 1st time since I’ve lived in Alaska that I didn’t make it up to Denali for this breathtaking view. I’ve been head down building a business I absolutely love, @AlaskaWildFree . I recognize I need more balance, more self-care, more time spent in quiet reflection in nature.
What are you reflecting on this morning?
