Keeping a gratitude journal can be very inspiring to help you always be looking on the bright side. I will admit this has not been a practice that I've followed and have typically been looking for the what if scenario in most situations.
I thought that was just the way I am, but now I understand, that's not who I am, nor who I want to be.
Practicing this simple but powerful ritual of gratitude daily has been life changing for me. You can start with verbalizing what you are thankful for but the most effective practice is to write it down.
Think of something new each day and challenge yourself to dig deep to find everything you can that should be a blessing whether you thought it was previously or not.
During at least one meal each day, my boys and I take turns sharing what we are grateful for and it brings us closer together and helps us see what is important to each other.
If you are struggling with something and feel lost or frustrated, start this practice daily and you will start to see that the people and world around you really are beautiful and you have so much to be grateful for.
Life is so amazing and precious and there really is no greater way to live each moment of each day.
