A lot of you send me messages asking how sometimes I leave work so soon. Yes, it’s true that at Mindera we have a very flexible schedule. As long as your work is done by the end of the sprint, nobody will point a finger at you. So sometimes when the sprint is going well, there are days where I don’t work 7 hours. But there are also days where it’s 9 PM and I’m working at home and finishing my tickets. 💯
There are times where you have to deliver something or you’re on a tight schedule and on those times you might work 10 hours a day. It’s 8:15 PM and I’m still at the office writing and fixing tests to finish my ticket and submit a PR. For the last 7 days, I’ve always left the office after 6:30 PM and this weekend I spent at least 8 hours working.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I love my job, I love what I do, and I absolutely LOVE working for Mindera. 💛🧠 This post is just to clarify that just because I have a very flexible schedule at Mindera, doesn’t mean I don’t have to commit and do some sacrifices when it’s needed. ✌🏼
The most important skill is to be aware and to manage yourself properly. Some sprints you might have not a lot to do so you might work less, but you also have to understand that when it’s needed you need to go that extra mile. 🚀
