House cleaning checklist


Cleaning your home can be a routine task that you already know by heart. However, if you are just starting out with these tasks or are hiring more people, a to-do list can be helpful.

We’ll leave you the list of essential tasks when you want to leave your home sparkling. The recommendation is that you print it out and use it as a checklist to make sure you don’t leave anything out in your cleaning chores.

  • Clean worktops and cupboards. Start immediately to the right of the oven.
  • Clean the face of household appliances: refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher.
  • Clean the top of the oven.
  • Clean the microwave.
  • Soak plates, pots and other dishes in the sink.
  • Clean in and around the sink.
  • Sweep and mop the floor.

If you’ve already cleaned up the clutter, dusted and vacuumed the house, and tidied up your closets, your rooms are basically ready. To finish, simply complete the following tasks:

  • Return any furniture that you previously moved for vacuuming to its original position.
  • Make the bed.
  • Straighten.
  • Do the special tasks: organize your clothes, fold the bed, organize pillows and pillows.
  • Use a streak-free glass cleaner (do not spray over it) and clean it with newspapers.
  • Use a professional-quality squeegee to clean large, hard-to-reach windows.
  • To clean the window grilles, remove them from the frame and scrub them with warm water using an all-purpose cleaner. Scrub each screen with a bristle brush, rinse it with an outer hose, and then put it back in the window to dry.
  • If you haven’t already, remove carpets and containers by vacuuming sooner.

  • Stand on the bath mat and clean the walls and door of the tub or sink.
  • Apply the tile cleaner to the bottom of the bath or shower and scrub.
  • Clean the dishes from the rack or the soap dish.
  • Clean the shower head.
  • Rinse the walls of the bathtub or shower and dry them with a cloth.
  • Toilet: Spray tile and grout cleaner in the sink, soap dish.
  • Spray the countertop with all-purpose cleaner.
  • Scrub the sink.
  • Clean the faucet with a brush and let it drain.
  • Rinse the sink and your cloth.
  • Clean the vanity top.
  • Clean cabinet fronts.
  • Clean the mirror: Spray the glass cleaner on a soft cloth and balm.
  • Dry the faucets.
  • Wash the soil with solution in the bucket and let it dry.
  • Replace carpets, bath mats, and wastebasket.
