How do I clean a bike’s chain?

The bicycle is an indispensable tool for all sports enthusiasts. Either to exercise, to warm up or to train the muscles, or simply to take a pleasant walk. But like everything else, it needs adequate maintenance, a clean that is in good condition. And one of the parts that get the most dirty or need the most maintenance is Chain. Here are two very simple tips to keep your bike the way it should be.

METHOD 1:

What do we need?

  1. Hydrogenated spray oil (for example WD40 oil)

We apply the hydrogenated oil over the entire chain. We attach great importance to joints and connections. Then we apply the oil to the tips of the sprockets, drive sprocket, and driven sprocket.
Once we have completed this process, we put the chain into operation by rotating the drive shaft. This ensures that the oil is well distributed throughout the system and that maintenance is appropriate.

Method 2:

What do we need?

  1. Shoe pomade
  2. flannel

We apply the shoe ointment along the entire chain. We attach great importance to joints and connections. Then we apply the same ointment to the tips of the sprockets, drive sprocket and driven sprocket. You shouldn’t apply copious amounts of ointment, otherwise it will be more difficult to remove.
Later we remove the excess with the flannel.
Once we have completed this process, we put the chain into operation by rotating the drive shaft. This ensures that the product is well distributed throughout the system and that maintenance is appropriate.

This process must be done once a week or at least every two weeks using either method to avoid damaging the operation of the chain or axles. Items that they replace are of great value.
