Many watches are “waterproof”. But sometimes there may be some water droplets left in the watch. This is due to the condensation of moisture that appears in it.
You need to check if your watch has lost its secrecy. This means that your watch is no longer fully waterproof or water resistant. This can happen because of a bump. If so, I recommend that you have it fixed.
If you’ve had this mishap and don’t know how to solve it, here is a very easy way to remove the moisture in a watch.
The only thing you need is:
- The first thing you should do is put the watch in a container of raw rice grains for at least a day. I recommend that you put it “open”.
- In case you didn’t know, rice will absorb moisture. Not just in a watch, but also in other devices such as a mobile phone, calculator, etc.
- If the moisture wasn’t completely removed in the previous step, remove the back of the watch, but don’t force it if it’s not easy to remove.
- Then move the watch where the sun “bounces off” it, not directly. The idea is that the sun increases the internal temperature of the watch, which makes it easier for the moisture to be removed.
