How to clean my house from fleas

Fleas are small insects that can transmit diseases to humans and animals. That is why it is advisable to keep our homes clean to avoid these insects from feeding on blood. In order to avoid greater evils, we are going to give you a series of steps to eliminate this evil from your home.

What do you need to clean your home from fleas?

  • A vacuum cleaner
  • broom
  • insecticide
  • Boric acid
  • Hot water
  • Spray pot

Step by step

Fleas are small six-legged animals that love areas with lots of hair. That is why dogs or cats are the favorite animals of this incest. So, you should start your cleaning in the area where your pet passes it with a broom and then vacuum it.

You will later do this step all over the house, especially the wettest and darkest areas of your house. You can vacuum the curtains and pillows around the house. Also, thoroughly clean the bedrooms of your residence and, if possible, completely change the bedding set for each bed.

After that, you will use the insecticide (using a mouth cover is recommended) in places that you think are heavily contaminated with that insect. They spray on any area you think necessary, especially curtains, furniture, and pillows. Then open the windows and doors of your house so that the smell of the insecticide doesn’t stay in it.

After this step, use the boric acid (which you can buy from a garden or drug store) and hot water. You will mix a tablespoon or two of the acid with the hot water and use a spray pot to spray this mixture on the wettest areas of the house, under the carpets, and where your pet will pass it on your house.

  • To avoid this problem, it is advisable to bathe your pet from time to time. This will prevent fleas from spreading around your home through your pets
  • Do not do this cleaning near the smallest part of the house or people who are allergic to the above products
